Why I struggle to sleep. I just suddenly developed sleep problems that never went away.

So many places! But really it just was the basis of the fantasy world I'd been building in my head for years, has parts of most everything i enjoyed as a teenager when I started writing it. I got inspiration from the King Author tales, Jedi, likely Disney movies somewhere, and a bit from the musical Wicked made its way into it. When I was in high school my dream was to play Elphaba on stage at least once in my life.

I've always just loved to write. My brother tried to write a book when he was young, so I decided to see what the fuss was about. I used to play made up stories in the backyard all day long, so i figured I'd write them down instead and my world changed! I still do the same now. I see a scene in a movie or read a scene from a book and my mind just takes it and runs a different direction. I love it. It's just part of who I am. I honestly get depressed when I'm not writing.

My latest fairytale retelling. It's based off one of the shortest fairytales, but I won't say what just yet. There's a contest to get a free copy when it comes out if they guess what's coming next correctly. I'll update here once that is over.

Actually write. Stop talking about writing, stop outlining, just start writing. I know so many people with great stories that I know will never see the light of day because they are too scared to do the work and get their rear ends in a chair and start typing or pick up the pen or even dictate. They just want to talk about the craft. Stop talking. Start doing.

Getting to live a thousand lives! Getting to explore so many worlds and places and be and learn from so many people on the page and from amazing readers who reach out to me.

I find other books, movies, TV shows or things similar to the style I'm currently trying to write to get inspiration or to get excited. If that doesn't work, I just take a break to ignore all things to do with the story, then try the inspiration tactic again and make myself sit down and start to write. First couple paragraphs might stink, but it gets the flow back.

I'd want to go be a princess in the days after Cedrick's story ends. Like... so little to lose. Great time to hang out with great people. I mean, I wrote the world of course I love it.

This summer I reread the Selection series and am trying to catch up on Nancy Campbell Allen's steampunk fairytales. I'm two books behind, and want to catch up.
