Hi! Welcome to my Goodreads. Can I just say I'm so happy you're here? I don't know if you're here for funzies or for a paper you have to write or maybe a theory video or article you're working on. Either way, thanks for coming, and let's get into the nitty-gritty.

I've been writing since I was ten years old. I wrote my first 700+ book when I was eleven. I started these games as almost fan fiction that morphed into the Custod world I use for most of my stories today.

I specialize in fairytale retellings in more dramatic than fantastical styles, dealing with more political or the struggle of war angles than in pure wonder, but I make sure to have a healthy (whoops too much) dose of romantic and hopeful elements as well. I feel stories should he

How Many Books in the Enthronement Series?

I have gotten this question so many times over the last few weeks, that I finally had to break down and answer this burning question.

Truth was, until recently I wasn't sure. Before The Conviction and The Emissary were broken up into two books, I was thinking it would be 5. But once I broke up my outline to add another book, it made it awkward 6 books which some people might be alright with. But I'

“How do I choose between two paths, one that dries me into the obedient zombie they want or the one that freezes me into a zombie?”
Charity Mae, The Enthronement

“I am convenient. They haven't picked me for queen for any other reason than my bloodline, sex, and how easy it is to set me up for power. I never realized how much the power they'd make me take would make me feel. I have the ability but not the power to use it. I hate what my life has become and evermore what I'm becoming.”
Charity Mae, The Enthronement

“When do we get to say how we feel? Why are my opinions and feelings less valid because I don't hold the same opinion as the masses? When does what I feel become important or valid? When do we get a chance?”
Charity Mae, The Enthronement

“I live in the Managerial Age, in a world of "Admin." The greatest evil is not now done in those sordid "dens of crime" that Dickens loved to paint. It is not done even in concentration camps and labour camps. In those we see its final result. But it is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried, and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth-shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voices. Hence, naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the office of a thoroughly nasty business concern."

[From the Preface]
C.S. Lewis, The Screwtape Letters

“All I want is to call him mine. But he's not just the boy I'd met on the night I needed him most. He's far more. He's complicated: the enemy I came here to eradicate.”
Charity Mae, The Enthronement
