Sometimes, I brainstorm, listen to music that motivates me to write, or review what I've already written. Usually, I just have to work my way through it. If you just get something on the page, no matter how ugly it is, you can always edit later.

I'd say it's getting to create the kinds of stories you want to tell. Writing a book, to me, is even more fun than reading. When you read someone else's words, they take you on an incredible journey. But when you write the story, you create the adventure.

Don't give up. There may be times when you think everything you write is stupid and that you'll never see anything to completion, but you WILL. Trust me, I've been there.

I'm currently reworking the story that got me hooked on writing. It's an original fairytale I wrote for an assignment back in seventh grade. Sadly, right now it doesn't have a title since the one I used back then is a spoiler now! (It was a really cool title, though!)

I've wanted to tell my own version of Cinderella for a long time, but it's been done so much that I didn't think I had anything new to add to the story. Then one day I was watching YouTube videos of Disney's Cinderella III: A Twist in Time, and their live cruise ship show Twice Charmed, and I started asking my own "what if" about the original fairy tale. The biggest question that I couldn't get out of my mind was "What if the glass slipper fit the wrong girl?"
