Hi, Faryal! The After the End ebooks will release to backers this October. The exact date is TBD. The audiobooks are scheduled to release in November. Hardbacks and paperbacks need to be ordered and shipped from the factory overseas to the distributor in Texas and then delivered to backers, so those won't arrive until late spring or early summer 2026. The ebooks will then release on various platforms (Amazon, Kobo, etc.) after all backers have gotten their rewards. Can't wait for y'all to read this one. It is very different than anything I've written before.

I am certain about nothing, lol. I have *intentions* for Jesse, Rory, and Bryce from Stonecut County, Harper/Knocker from Steel Bones, Lucca/Tomas/Sara from Underboss Insurrection, and Kennedy/Tye, Leith/Tandie, Seth/Drona, Nia/Pritchard, Rowan/Liam, Bevan/?, and Amir/? from Five Packs. I also get ideas constantly, and the way my brain works, I can't write a story if I don't know what happens, and I wish I could, but can't *make* that happen...

“Well, when you put it like that, it sounds weird as sh*t.”
He shrugs. “You want one.”
I try to remember when he would’ve seen me do it.
Usually, when Lucca and Tomas bring Sara over, the men lock themselves in Dario’s office, and Sara and I hang out in the kitchen or by the pool. We sure as sh*t don’t hang out as couples. It must’ve been months ago, at least. ...more

(view spoiler)[Plot spoiler?............................................................That question is actually deceptively simple. Based on Cadoc's age in Heir Apparent, Madog should be somewhere between 35 - 50, so Abertha should theoretically be at least the same age, although she could be older, so perhaps 35 - 75. But that's not taking magic into account. And with Abertha, you *have* to take magic into account... (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[I loved the ravaged wolf. I was a little apprehensive but you did them justice. And the overall arc and lore was great. I have 3 questions. 1: albertha. Surely she’s got to have her day, madogs wasting sickness has been cured. Is it a side effect of being a bad mate? 2: what happened to the human hunters book 2. I feel like there’s another story there. 3. Kennedy. Please tell me she’s got a book soon. She’s my fave. (hide spoiler)]

I'm so happy that you loved it! Abertha will get a story, but it'll probably be at the very end of the series. I'm keeping mum about the details (because I don't know them yet, lol). The human hunters were dealt a blow in Lone Wolf, but have yet to be dealt with completely. That'll come in a future book. I do have a story in mind for Kennedy and Tye. Send good vibes for creative inspiration, and thanks for reading! :)

I love Bevan. Accepting suggestions for his partner, though, because I have no idea... :)

Yeah, I really want Bevan to have a story. Maybe someone from North Border, since the women there have a lot of rules that would make them kinda stuffy but without the snobbery of Moon Lake that would make the relationship too antagonistic.
Alternatively, a very dominant, no-nonsense chick that drives him up the wall because he's desperate to impress her and she just isn't putting up with his antics. I don't want someone mean to him, just someone that either he needs to pull out of their head, or someone that makes him wanna be less flighty. Or a bit of both. The whole thing about him eventually going wolf.. He needs someone who won't allow it. ...more

I’m picking up what you’re laying down! I hadn’t thought about a North Border rule-follower (not sure if Wrenlee’s sister would qualify), but that could work, especially if it meant we also got to see an uprising against Fireside. I would really like to know what’s going on with Amir as well, but that’s a whole other story.
And you bring up a good point about Bevan not going full wolf. I guess a mate who is losing touch with her human side even more than him may not be the best fit, but then again, maybe that could be the conflict in their relationship: will he risk sacrificing his humanity (and I suppose her safety as well) to be with her?…
I might just have to turn some of this into fanfic if you’re not into it, CCW! ...more

Sorry, I missed this question. :( Turned out, the couple is Izzy and Trevor.

I have good news on that front! The audiobook is finished and in my grubby paws. All I'm waiting for is the cover from the designer, and then I'll upload. (It usually takes about 10 days after that point.) Send good vibes. :)

I'm actually in the process of revising this book. I have plans to release it under the Cate C. Wells name sometime this year, hopefully. In the meantime, it's off the shelf.

It is my intention! I'm working on a different project at the moment, but it's on the sticky note and coming together in my head (fingers crossed).

Thanks for reading! I'm so stoked that you're enjoying the books. I have every intention of writing Harper's story, but I'm having trouble hearing her voice. I'm not giving up, but I will accept good vibes. :)

I am so stoked that you liked it! I just finished writing a *secret group project* that we'll be announcing next month (although it won't release for a while). I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to write next. I usually start the story speaking stongest and see if I get traction. If you subscribe to my newsletter on www.catecwells.com, you can get updates when I decide what I'm writing and then how I'm struggling, lol. Also cat pics. Thanks for reading. (I do love writing a psychopath, too, although I seem to be in my golden retriever era.)

Thanks for reading! I have an intention to write a Lucca, Tomas, and Sara MMF book, but I'm not sure where it is in the queue at the moment. Stay tuned...

(view spoiler)[Hi, Susan. Thanks for reading! They will be together, and actually, they'll be my only couple who don't end up with their fated mates. (There is no redeeming Drona's baby daddy. No way.) It'll probably be a novella. Hope to write it in 2025, but we shall see how the stars align. Happy New Year and happy reading! -Cate (hide spoiler)]

Hey, thanks for reading. It is my intention to write Kennedy's story. Send good vibes and prayers for inspiration. :)

I do want to write a story for Brice (and the Sunshiner), but I'm not quite sure how it unfolds quite yet. They're both reserved, and that's always the trickiest relationship to write. You need a real firecracker of an inciting incident to set things off.

Okay, I am nervous to say this, but TENTATIVELY (so very tentatively), December 26, 2024. Send me good vibes. :)

Oh, thank you! I actually have a novella, Made Man, coming out December 5th in the anthology Sin & Snowflakes. It's available for pre-order now. (It's the story of Dario and Posy's daughter, Mira.)
I have one more book planned for the series---Lucca, Tomas, and Sara's story. Not sure when I'll write it, but the story is there, waiting. :)

I'm so stoked that you're loving the books! I do lightly plot the beats/scenes of the story, but then I'm always changing things as I learn the characters and their backstories. In Tyrant Alpha, I had NO IDEA about what happened when they were children until it kind of came to me as I was writing. That was magic, and it doesn't happen a lot. (I wish it did.) I have a writing coach who I work with every month, and we go back and forth on a chapter, honing my skills. When the book is finished, it goes to my coach, my editor, and beta readers, and then I polish it like a diamond until I can't stand it anymore, and then it goes to my proofreader(s). I'm really lucky to have a team of reliable, skilled editors. I'm blessed. :)
