Dawn M. Fitzpatrick When teaching in California, I lived at the base of the Santa Susana Mountains. The house that we lived in was built in the early 1900's, over a livery stable, where stage coaches would restock before going over the Santa Susana pass to Simi Valley. It was haunted, by a boy.
Dawn M. Fitzpatrick The idea for my current book comes from the complex, interesting, and amusing characters in The Moxie. They have more stories to tell and I have the pleasure of exploring, researching, and developing their journey.

Read aloud and listen to the words you’ve written. Does the writing flow? Are you moving the story forward? It takes time and commitment to find your voice as a writer.
