Ian Wilson I'm currently polishing up Legend of the Sword Bearer, while also working on another comic series; a paranormal suspense/action comic that I'll be revealing soon.
Ian Wilson The villains were inspired partly by world mythology. The gods and goddesses of Northern European myths were often cruel and vindictive, and I wanted to put that on full display. I also drew inspiration from an alarming modern trend I see, which is a growing disrespect for life, and the public's seeming willingness to give themselves over to a totalitarian leader.
Ian Wilson I don't. Most writers try to power through it or something. I've tried that. It usually doesn't work. I typically just wait for an idea to come to me, and then I write it down. Sometimes the idea is crap and I end up throwing it away and trying something else. But I'll go for days, sometimes weeks without writing anything because I don't have anything worth writing.
Ian Wilson I think it was a combination of Marvel's Thor and Lloyd Alexander's Chronicles of Prydain. I always liked quest stories.
