I'm not talking about anybody else, but I don't have writer's block. I do have moments of procrastination, seasons where I lack inspiration, and times where I feel like my current project is utter rubbish which is beyond redemption.
I deal with procrastination by setting hard deadlines and using various productivity hacks. I handle a lack of inspiration by powering ahead with my project, knowing that I'll come back and fix the rough bits when I edit.
And when I lack confidence in my writing, I remind myself of what a wise author in my writing community said. You can't dump a bag of flour, sugar, milk and butter in a bowl and then complain that it's a lousy cake. It's not a cake yet: it's a work in progress. You're still baking! I just need to keep working at the project, do my best, give it to my beta readers for feedback and figure out how to make it better.

I love making stuff up! It's fun to tell stories and to create something that didn't exist before.

Read good books and practice writing every day. Keep learning and honing your skills. There are many good craft books out there, as well as excellent resources like the Writing Excuses podcast. Join a writers' community, whether in person or online, where you can get others to give you feedback and also critique their writing. Recognize that you'll always be a student of your art, because the learning never stops!

I'm working on the sequel to my debut novel, which will follow the story of some of the characters who appeared in Falling for the Foe. I'm also putting together a short story collection.

I get inspired to write when I read a really good book or hear a story that moves me. I feel like I want to try to do that as well.

Several years ago, I used to work with an organization that campaigned for access to essential medicines. I'm also a huge Jane Austen fan, and people who've read Pride and Prejudice might recognize that my heroine Nia is a bit like Elizabeth Bennett. Both of them are bright, competent women with rather fixed ideas who find their biases challenged.
