When a story isn't flowing well from my muse, it's usually because it's still downloading from the fae realm. I set it aside for a bit, ask my muse to help me finish a scene or outlining a book and move on to editing a story I've already written, or working on something else.
My muse usually comes through in a day or two and I'm back to writing so fast I can't keep up. Don't tell my muse but I think he has ADD too because he'll give me stories and characters out of time sync. I already have a story roughly outlined about Calanon and Dagney's elf child who isn't even born yet in the Ride Series.

I get to daydream for a living! I've always been that kid living in La La Land and now I can be that again as an adult.

Oh my lanta! Write everything down! Just start writing! The internet is full of useful advice on how to craft a story, take the time to learn about your craft but don't get distracted and pulled down the rabbit hole so much that you forget to put your story down. You can always go back and edit, rewrite and restructure later.

I am working on book three of the Ride series. Book one is Unforgettable Ride. Book two is Forsaken Rider which is being released this week. Book three is Wondrous Ride.
Since I am a bit ADD, I am also working on final edits of Spark Bond Radiance, book two of the Spark Bonded Series.
I am also working on finishing up a separate tale called The Fae Adventures of Phoebe, a Florida Barn Cat. It's about a barn cat who turns out to be a fairy, cursed to live in the human realm with her best friend Tomas. Unlike the Spark Bond and Ride Series, this is a sweet romance.

I've been writing off and on since I could pick up a pen and write down my daydreams and fantasies.
I've been an avid reader since I learned to read and my earliest favorites were Walter Farley's Black Stallion Series. I read a book that fueled my imagination called Can I Get There by Candlelight by Jean Slaughter Doty. That book stuck with me for years.
I didn't read it again until I was in my 20's. My mom and I opened a used book store on Indian Rocks Beach, FL called Upstart Crow. My mom always wanted to be a novelist but she never had the chance to follow her dreams. My pen name is a nod to her dreams as I decided not to wait until it was too late to become the author I've always wanted to be.

My muse has been with me for twenty years, bugging me to write his story while I left him on the back burner for the real world distractions. He'd come to me in dreams and I'd write down a scene here or there throughout the years it wasn't until 2015 that we started putting a story together.
After getting fired from my job as a property manager in 2018, I devoted myself to learning about the craft of storytelling. I have over 700k badly written words in the Spark Bonded series that I am currently rewriting and editing.
Then the one of my characters decided to do an author take over and I started writing Unforgettable Ride which is set in the same world but in the future. Calanon, my quiet, brooding assassin deserved his happy ever after now. He's earned it but like everything in his life, nothing comes easy.
