The idea for my first (and only, current) work "Oquirrh Mountain Fairies Mineral Magic" coloring and story book, came about by my desire to make people feel inspired and full of joy - like I did when first encountering fairies. I wanted people to be transported to a magical place, where they could escape. Being a visual artist, gobbling up visual treats that make my soul dance - I also wanted to create something tactile that could also put a person in creative heaven: coloring. Being a former STEAM teacher, there is an inevitable mix of fun, stealthy learning of science and history, plus creative thinking. Put all that together with a tree bark story from my youngest daughter, geo ideas from my oldest daughter, and a flight in my husband's airplane over the Oquirrhs - and this story was born!

I am currently working on the second in a series of my mineral fairy adventures, as well as the Oquirrh Mountain Fairies board game, and a companion fairy app for Droid phones.
