Ha! My whole life could be a book filled with plots, twists and turns. There's about every genre in there. 😂

As I answered in the last question, Talus was a persistent character that urged me to write the story Lord Have Mercy, but I guess there were experiences inside me that needed to be released and writing fantasy is often my way of doing that safely, even when I don't realise I'm doing it.

As I said in an earlier answer, characters and ideas just pop into my head at any given time, hounding me to be written. The more insistent and intrusive they are, lets me know if they are important enough to be written about. Talus from Lord Have Mercy was one persistent Gargoyle/Angel Warrior that just would not leave me alone until I wrote his book, so though I wrote it through Mercy it was Talus who created it for me.

I'm currently working on the sequel to Lord Have Mercy, then I have a novel already finished that needs to go through the editing stage before I decide to publish and I have a half written book that I have been dying to get back to writing to see how it all ends; after that I have a series idea to think about, so lots to work on.

Don't get bogged down or held back by your own fears and self doubts. If you love to write, just write. Don't compare yourself to established writers, that can stop you before you begin.

For me the best thing about being a writer is that nothing is off limits, that I can just go wherever my mind takes me. I can leave this world behind and go wherever I want to just by looking inside.

I don't often get writers block, I have the opposite problem. When I am writing a book I often have characters and ideas not to do with the book I'm writing jumping around in my head. If they intrude on my thoughts constantly, I know they are important to write about, but it can make things difficult for the work I am involved in at the time.

That's a difficult question, there are too many places I would go. If I could step inside a book I would visit every place I have ever read about from Watership Down, The secret Garden, Lord of the Rings and War and Peace to City of Bones, Jane Eyre and Outlander to name a few. I want to see everything. I want to see dragons and giants, water sprites and Angels, and dare I say it demons.

Currently reading Yorkshire Grit, which has 3 books in one. Sea dust, Through Glass Eyes and The Black Thread, by Margaret Muir. I am loving them. I have many books to catch up on but I have little time with writing every day.
