I would have to say it would be Hogwarts. Firstly, I happen to love to work of Harry Potter. But also because one of my next book idea's is related to magic It would be great research as well LOL

Well mine is meditation (nothing formation and organized). I like to get in a hot tub with the lights low in a quite place. I like to visualize my story as a movies, and run the chapter in my head. That normally assists me to shake the some of the story loose. I do avoid reading books and seeing movies similar to what I am working on, to avoid those idea's from that piece creeping into my work. I want me work to be honest and my own. If it turns out to be something similar to something else, I can at least say that I got there is an honest way and I was not influenced too much by other work.

The face that I get to create that world I am writing about in my case. That the only limitation on my stories and my worlds are the limitations I put on myself.

My advice to aspiring writes is to KEEP WRITING. Only you can tell your story, the story is in you and for it to be told right you have to tell it. Get the raw story down on paper and then build yourself a strong team of friends and readers that can help do the initial first rounds of edits. Work shop your project with a trusted group of other writes.editors and avid readers. Find writing support workshops and groups to keep you inspired and moving forward. Hold yourself accountable and create timelines with milestones and track your progress and commit to yourself that you are going to follow it. So when creating those timelines make them realistic and achievable.

Currently, I am really focused on getting Barnstorming out there further. I am working on setting up a national a book tour and also looking into promoting the story to film studios as a possible film.

The initial inspiration to write, was to make sure that some of my family history was recorded in some way. My Mother was another really big influence as well. I grew up with severe dyslexia as a young child and was always very reluctant to do any writing or reading type of things in a recreational way. My mother spent a lot of her energy my entire life convincing me to not allow myself to build walls and limitation around myself because of it. She taught me to be a very effective communicator and that build my confidence and gave me the courage (even as an adult) to attempt to write a book.

That is a great question! I have been wanting to figure out a way to tell some of my unique family history and the family stories that have been passed on to me verbally throughout my life. Although Barnstorming is an historical fiction, a lot of those situations in the book did accrue. I could never figure out a way that I could tell the family stories in (to me) an interesting way. Then I found out that their was a white man that played Negro baseball and that was when the light bulb went off. Being the great grandson of one of the first Mayors of the first all free, self governed, black towns in America lends itself to the Negro baseball universe and the unique fact that a white man did play in the league. By combining all of that really interesting facts truly inspired me coupled with the fact that I could put some of these family experiences on paper to share with the world energized me and moved me to write this book.
