Cait Marie I have kind of an odd process where I write the first few chapters, then I write a chapter-by-chapter outline. It's not super detailed, but it's enough of a guide that allows me to jump around to different scenes based on my mood or inspiration on any given day. I am usually working on more than one book too, in different genres, so if I'm not feeling one of the stories, I can switch for a little while to get past that block.

Hi Cait Marie, You read lots of books across quite a number of diverse genres. What is it that makes you select a book to read and what makes you decide not to read a book? Wishing you all the best for 2020. Bob

Cait Marie I will read just about any genre in YA or NA. I'll be honest, I'm big on book covers. If the cover catches my attention, I will likely check it out. If a book isn't edited well, I will likely not continue reading. Mistakes happen, but when there are blatant, frequent typos and errors, it is hard for me to focus on the story.
