Book 3 in the Liz Hanlon series--it will also have music, and I'm now putting together the ideas for the songs as well as the books. While still having the music business as it's backdrop, this book will involve a very famous race car and include real footage. In the series, Liz's father, Richard Hanlon was an amateur race car driver, and this is one of his "dream" cars. All true information about the car and the racing world.

My series is a mystery-suspense based in the modern music business where I've made my living my whole life, so there are countless story ideas there. But everyday, things change, so I'm always catching up. Also, keeping notes, newspaper articles, jotting down ideas--these can all be worked into your plot in some way, and often strengthen the story because you may have forgotten about them if it weren't for the notes.

I once took a writer's class where the teacher said the way to get rid of writer's block was, and I quote, "Ass in chair ten hours a day." Well, I'm not sure my back would take that for ten hours a day (I'm using a stand-up desk at the moment) but I do know that sometimes you just have to write. When I'm feeling rushed or "uninspired", I still want to be writing, so I often write notes about what should be in that scene right in the spot that it will be. Then later, when there's more time or more privacy, I'll begin "fiddling" with it...and soon I'm back to writing. Basically, you just have to start.
