Well, first off, I'm a casual geek, so I've loved fantasy and horror for years. But at about 20 years old, being a fan of the first Mortal Kombat movie, I started wondering "why keep to any rigid rules about fantasy? Why not just cut loose and throw down the gauntlets like Mortal Kombat?" I was too hot headed at the time, so it was very two dimensional then, but I got older and learned, so the story evolved with it.
In the end, though, the books are my fantasy horror tribute to geekdom. Things like star wars, magic the gathering, heroquest and dnd, are only naming a few of the things that gave me an outlet, and welcomed me without question. The books are my gift to them for giving a place to play for a knucklehead with an over active imagination that never stops.
That, and it's a million volts of invigorating fun to write and share it.

I have. I got a little sidetracked, but I will finish reading it.

How dangerous would my imagination be, if it were coupled with a practical intellect?

We have chosen a path with many obstacles. The world may fight us, tooth and nail, but we are obliged to remember something: this world, and all its advancements, were made by dreamers. When it all comes down to it, there is no power in the world greater than dreamers on an implacable journey. This world is waiting for us to break the mold and revive hope.

Total release of my imagination. Unlike anything else I live and do, I don't have to hold back.

Wait until it feels like its going to be fun again

I wouldn't! Every fictional world I can imagine has a downside for every sentient life form. We think heroes have it made, but look at Harry Potter ( closest match to our world) you can't come up with a character that won't suffer to any degree that would be less than traumatizing

Haven't really got a fixed list. I'm open to new books, and it takes little to get me to read new Shannara or Dresden Files or Age of X and Clive Barker and Stephen King

I am working on the second book of Destiny of the Void Triangle. I can't say much without spoiling, and with my wife poised on being the first reader (its her right, she puts up with me) I can spoil nothing, and my son is my only sounding board.

I let myself slip as deep into my imagination a as I can. I have so much in my mind thats random or seems awesome to me, and it only needs me to stop and let it do what it wants. Its always been that way since I was little and they taught me that pen and paper can give it the release I look for

I started writing it about twenty years ago. At the time, it was a cathartic release from a bad time in my life; but I developed the characters and history more and more over the years and felt an undeniable pull to the characters that made me want to bring their world forward. Enter years of reading ang self growth and I am more prepared to bring it out.
