C.L. Ewing A lot of things. I have several ongoing fanfiction projects that I am working on, and I'm in the planning stages of the sequel for The Price of Freedom.
C.L. Ewing Write. And then keep writing. Even if you don't like what you've written. Even if you think no one wants to read it. Even if you think it's terrible. Just keep writing. Never forget that first drafts are called drafts for a reason. They don't have to be good. Writing something that you're happy with generally takes a lot of writing, rewriting, editing, and rewriting some more. Don't be discouraged if it isn't perfect the first time, or the second time. or even the third time.
C.L. Ewing A few years ago my son asked me this crazy question. "What if everyone just stopped aging at 16 years old?" Then that question evolved into an entire day of going back and forth with my best friend and building a world. That world became the setting for The Price of Freedom.
C.L. Ewing It really depends. I've had writer's block where I can't seem to write at all, and writer's block that seemed to be related to a particular project. I typically work on anywhere between three and ten writing projects at a time, so that if I feel stuck on one, I can work on a different one until I figure out how to get through whatever I am stuck on. Another way I deal with writer's block is to set deadlines for myself. I am much more productive when I have a deadline to meet.
