I am a single parent of two and I’ve loved writing for as long as I can remember. For a very long time, I chose not to pursue writing as a career because I was afraid of failing.
With a lot of encouragement from friends and family, I’ve finally decided to make the jump.
What really got me here is the world of fanfiction. It’s the reason I started writing regularly again. Supporting fanfiction is a huge part of my life, whether it's writing, reading, or running challenges to help other creators make amazing work to share with the world.
When I’m not writing, I can most often be found reading, playing Dungeons & Dragons or video games, watching Supernatural for the 25,000th time, and otherwise being goofy AF with the kids.

I've had writer's block where I can't seem to write at all, and writer's block that seemed to be related to a particular project. I typically work on anywhere between three and ten writing projects at a time, so that if I feel stuck on one, I can work on a different one until I figure out how to get through whatever I am stuck on. Another way I deal with writer's block is to set deadlines for myself. I am much more productive when I have a deadline to meet. (less)

Even if you don't like what you've written. Even if you think no one wants to read it. Even if you think it's terrible. Just keep writing. Never forget that first drafts are called drafts for a reason. They don't have to be good. Writing something that you're happy with generally takes a lot of writing, rewriting, editing, and rewriting some more. Don't be discouraged if it isn't perfect the first time, or the second time. or even the third time.(less)
