What are you currently working on?
David Arrowsmith I'm currently writing a new story - something that hopefully will become either a novel or novella, or possibly another trilogy of short stories. It's modern and contemporary, with a debt to JG Ballard.

How do you get inspired to write?
David Arrowsmith Images, phrases, ideas and situations sometimes just pop into my head - and if they're interesting enough I just have to jot them down before they disappear.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
David Arrowsmith I woke up with a vague idea, inspired by a previous trip through Nevada and the surrounding areas, and it crystallised into the first few sentences during a shower and then commute to work - at which point I began to type it into my phone. It evolved further as I wrote more, eventually becoming the Nevada Noir trilogy of short stories.
