My biggest source of inspiration comes from the world around me, the people I watch, the events that I observe. Add a beautiful song and I am happily writing in my head before I even sit down at my laptop 😊

Currently I am working on a fictional story. I tend to write from real life experiences and stories. Writing fiction is a huge, but exciting challenge. If I don’t try, I will never know if I could - so I am trying 😊

I am a passionate believer in the power of story and fundamentally believe that when we share our stories, we can inspire others to action in their own lives. Writing for me is the most natural way I can express myself. I have the opportunity to create within my very own little bubble, with the words and thoughts that I choose. There is nothing more magical :)

I tend to walk away from my laptop and disconnect completely, if I have writers block. I love the sea and being outside in nature, it’s a great way to reconnect with your thoughts. Music is also a wonderful way to kick start inspiration and resetting how you feel.

My advice would be to write, write anything and everything. Write what you see, what you feel and what you imagine :) It took my 20 year to become comfortable with my voice before I released my first book into the world. Sometimes finding your voice can take time, other times it is there, alive and shining bright for the world to see. If you never try, how will you ever know ?

My current book is my first book and has been hiding inside of me for 20 years. Ever since I was a little girl I have always wanted to write and publish my own book. However over the years, I constantly got in my own way. I would write, hide and then write again. During the past few years, I experienced a dramatic change in my life, which lead to the first, second and then the final draft of The Long Journey Home. I am so pleased it is out in the world and I hope will encourage others to reach for more and follow their heart.
