What’s the best thing about being a writer?
K.A. Silva Being able to put the images in my head down on paper or a screen, where they take on life of their own and stop bugging me all the time.

What are you currently working on?
K.A. Silva A novella combining the characters from Straw Man and Straw Song for a comical (and a bit creepy) Thanksgiving feast. I also have The Reluctant Wendigo 2 partway done, and a Yule tale to finish with my Straw Man characters Cassie and Jack!

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
K.A. Silva The ending image of my prior book Straw Man, with a witch and a scarecrow embracing, stuck with me and led me back to the land of Oz. I wanted to write a darker take on L. Frank Baum's classic characters, but set at least partly in our world. Theo, who was a supporting character in Straw Man, stole all her scenes and definitely needed her own book!
