Currently I'm working of the second of the Earth Rebirth series, tentatively titled, "The Council of Durhampton." It's set about 200 years after "The Great Disruption" when the population is starting to recover, and they're trying to unite the city-states around the country. Male Infant Death Syndrome has now fully gripped the nation, and the gender ratio is about 6 to 1, females to males.

I don't know. I've always loved to read, and I've always wanted to be a writer. It's like asking how I got inspired to breathe.

The original inspiration for the plague came from the Ebola epidemic in Africa around 2013 or 2014. Rather than just the plague, though, the characters have to deal with something mysterious that had been killing about 80% of all baby boys before their first birthday, though girls were not affected. I thought the way society would adapt to the skewed gender ratio would be interesting. There are several books and short stories in the pipeline with this theme.
