Wow! How am I just seeing this question after so long?? I apologize for the delay in my response. My advice is to trust your own voice and write. You may feel like it's not coming together on the page the way it appears in your imagination but that's what the editing process is for. Put the words down. Get started. Be fearless and don't quit. After you have a good draft, set it aside for a week and then come back and read it again or listen to it read back to you. And keep reading and learning about craft. Books by James Scott Bell or KM Weiland are excellent. Also, Stephen King's book, On Writing. Good luck and thanks for the question!

Hi there! I had no idea how sweet and funny chickens are. And super social with unique personalities and habits. I love them, too. My chickens live out their lives with me. I don't sell or use them for meat. While they're still laying, I compost the eggshells, crush them for the garden or offer back instead of oyster shells. There's no rooster in the flock so no opportunity for more chicks. They're ladies of leisure:-) Thanks for the question!

Oh, great question! This summer I was trying to find out what was eating the hostas in my garden. But I think it's the neighborhood groundhog so that mystery is solved, LOL. During the annual Labor Day Air Show performance this year, two of the Thunderbirds pilots had to be rerouted and taken out of the acts. Considering how dangerous the situation could have been and how extremely well trained the pilots are with those amazing jets, I can imagine lots of intrigue behind the scenes. Thanks for asking and if you decide to write this story, let me know so I can enjoy it!

I get inspired to write whenever I connect with readers. Their feedback and curiosity nourishes my creativity. And I never want to disappoint them. Also, I love hanging around other creatives, no matter what type of art form they pursue. It helps to have other passionate people to bounce around ideas with.

The best thing about being a writer is creating worlds and personalities in your imagination that you can visit anytime you want. And, when the time is right, you can invite others into that world and enjoy it together.

Igbala in The Healer's Love by Kierra L. Rose. It is steeped in traditional culture and the setting sounds like paradise.

The idea for Final Harvest Book 1 of the Finding Home Series came from my experiences and memories of the diversity of property/homes that I've owned and the people in those communities. I wanted to deal with uncertainty and the emotional processing that happens when personal shelter is threatened. I also wanted my main character to be transparent about how she handled conflicting emotions.
