Courtnee Turner Hello, Rodney Tripp! Thank you for your questions!
No, I do not write explicit language into my stories. Many of my books have paranormal elements, but My Brother’s Keeper, Pinky Swear, and Rasputin’s Scorn are the best titles to give to children in the twelve- to seventeen-year-old range. My Brother’s Keeper and Pinky Swear are available now, and Rasputin’s Scorn may be preordered for a reduced price on Amazon. It releases on June first of this year. The title and cover appear dark, but the story is a little lighter than it seems. The effects of drugs and child abuse are discussed, but children do NOT take drugs in my book.
My Brother’s Keeper just won several awards, so it may be the best story for a teenager. Teens, young adults, and experienced readers have told me that they enjoyed the story.
Cascade will be available in October of this year, and it is a great story for teens.
Finding Emma does not contain cursing, but some adult themes, like infant loss and domestic violence are discussed.
Thank you for submitting your questions, and I hope you have a beautiful day!
Courtnee Turner Good question!
In my first PALE WOODS MYSTERY, MY BROTHER’S KEEPER, I start the book with an event that happened to me. I was sitting alone on my couch, when I heard noises upstairs. I quickly ran to investigate the source of the sounds, but no one was there, and everything was in its place.

Courtnee Turner Write because you love it.
Don’t write to make money, but the money may come naturally. If so, I’m proud of you!
Let me know if I can help you! 🙂
Courtnee Turner Isn’t there a meme with a map of fictional worlds? 😂
Honestly, I would like to travel to most of the most popular fictional worlds.
Most importantly, I would like to live at Hogwarts so I could talk to ghosts and explore the castle. I would also like to share a meal with the people of The Shire, and I would vacation in Rivendale. Narnia would welcome me, and I would visit Neverland around each birthday.
I could go on, but you probably get the idea! 😂
Courtnee Turner I have not experienced writer’s block. (Knock on wood!)
My area is rich with angles for stories.
Courtnee Turner The best thing about being a writer is when you can talk to a reader about your book. It’s wonderful to know the way in which your words touched them, inspired them, or made them laugh.
Courtnee Turner I walked into the kitchen. All of the cabinets had been left open! 😂
Courtnee Turner Pinky Swear will be available in September 2021! 😊
Courtnee Turner I have finished an edit of the second book in the Pale Woods Series and I am completing an edit of an unrelated book in a different genre.
Courtnee Turner I find inspiration in common situations and I develop a story around them. Once I have an idea, it nudges my brain until I finally write it. A certain scene may cause my mind to “itch” until I have written it.
Courtnee Turner I got the idea for My Brother’s Keeper while I was alone in my silent home. I heard a noise upstairs and I wondered if someone had entered my house unannounced. I explored the house, but I never found the source of the noise.
My mind raced through several explanations. Finally, I sat down to write. I started with the sound, and the rest of the story spilled from my fingers.
