Ian Kirkpatrick ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you! I'm so excited to share it!
Ian Kirkpatrick lol, I mean, the likelihood is pretty low considering how many active serial killers there are at any given time, but... sometimes what I write can seem questionable. So, take your chances, you're probably safe, ahaha. ;p
Ian Kirkpatrick Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it and your review legit made my day when I read it! ; ~ ; <3 I'm currently working on book 2 (Plead More, Bodymore), which should be out October 2022.

Ian Kirkpatrick When the right stimuli comes along. Maybe it's a song, maybe it's a vibe, maybe it's a place, maybe it's a title of an episode or a lyric or something really, really random. I don't really choose what inspires me, but I know the intuitive feeling when something is waiting for me to find it and then, overtime, when the right combination of things come together at the right time, it all just... boom.
Ian Kirkpatrick I get to live a bunch of lives. It's also kind of eery having what feels like personal connections to places or people because you wrote about them. Man, it's wild... Ten years ago I never would have thought I'd be writing a book inspired by Jeff and needing my own rare books, action figure, and friends/family buying me other memorabilia without me even asking, but here we are and I can't wait to share that story.

That too. That's the other best thing. Sharing these experiences, these human lives with other people and some of the magical circumstances I see in the world, be it mythology or exaggeration, I love getting to develop the world as I see it through the lives of these people that come into my head. There's no way to say that without sounding insane, lmfao.
Ian Kirkpatrick Killing for Company, House of Horrors, American Psycho, A Picture of Dorian Gray and Other Works... and I have a handful of books on shelf in my 'to-read' section, but I don't really plan what I'm reading... I'm gonna be re-reading more Bret Easton Ellis in study for the narration of my current WIP.
Ian Kirkpatrick Nothing you've never heard before. Read a lot. Write a lot. Read what you want to write. Find authors whose styles you like. Read outside of your genre. You'll pick up so much more than you know by reading. Then, once you've read, write, you'll only learn how to put a story together by writing.

And most importantly, be kind to yourself. Set goals, big ones, small ones, ones you can accomplish daily, and don't beat yourself up if you miss one. Tomorrow is another day. You don't have to write every day, but you do have to be diligent, forgiving, and give yourself finish lines you can see to KNOW you're moving forward. Without regular goals, it can feel like you're trying to stop a boat from sinking with an 8 oz cup.
Ian Kirkpatrick A speculative work called Cain and Abel. The main character is a serial killer, but this isn't quite like American Psycho.
Ian Kirkpatrick I set a timer for 10 minutes at a time and just do writing sprints. Doing this even 2-4 times, I can usually break through 1,000 words and with a timer, it gives me a deadline and knowing there's a start/finish, I'm able to focus better when I'm struggling to keep working.
Ian Kirkpatrick The life and times of Jeffrey Dahmer. :')
