J.A. Flowers I am in the research and drafting stage of a new novel. In this work, the protagonist faces his past as he tries to build a new future. The problem lies within himself- can he knock down the emotional walls he erected after a tragic event in order to build something new? Facing the aftermath of tragedy, is he wiling to allow healing to begin?
J.A. Flowers I have good friends who are some of the best people and baseball players I know. Both played minor league baseball and both knew the struggles to make ends meet as they travel that difficult road. One actually took a job as a high school janitor. The plot came naturally as I put Ty, Jersi, and Searcy into different situations. They just knew how to complicate things, so I just kept putting adversaries in front of them. Redemption is a theme I like to explore as I write and these three characters allowed me to search that theme.
