Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Sharz Weeks Hartwood House explores themes that are pervasive in our world: exploitation of the other, corrupt systems failing to do what they say they will do, greed, cover-ups, and privilege. It also explores love, friendship. longing, and the mysteries of existence. I was inspired to write Hartwood House because of experiences I've had, things I've seen, and a deep desire to illustrate it.

How do you get inspired to write?
Sharz Weeks I'm highly inspired by the world around me - the good and the bad. I'm inspired by little details no one else notices, minute arrangements of the world that create the perfect aesthetic. I'm inspired by people: the beauty, the ugliness, the quirks and their habits. But most of all, traveling is one of my strongest sources of inspiration.
