Erika Leigh Agnew Great! I can email you a pdf if that works. I am Canadian so Amazon won't let me gift ebooks. Please DM me your address if that's ok- thanks!
Erika Leigh Agnew Target shooting! I would die in an apocalypse. I could never kill my own food.
Erika Leigh Agnew Thanks James! That's a multi-part answer. For plots, random scenes will pop into my head and I write them down in a notebook. I try to keep them organized by section, beginning, middle, end or it's a disaster figuring out later. Sometimes they come as I write or if I am editing and I think a section needs more filling out or drama.
There are lots of things you can do to make conversations interesting. Sometimes you can convey what the character is thinking or feeling purely on your choice of words. Sometimes you can combine it with an action, like they're saying one thing but their actions imply they mean something else. Fewer words are better but you're also trying to pack in as much tension, suspense and action into dialogue as you can.
Thank you for the question!
Erika Leigh Agnew Hi Cody- I decided to write a book when my twin nieces were born. I just wanted to do something out of the ordinary to show them anything was possible for them.
I would totally retire from the day job if I could :D

Erika Leigh Agnew Yes! The boys return in book 2.
My plan is Book 1, Prequel, Book 2, Prequel, Book 3 and if there's gas left in the tank, the Story of Severn as series finale.
Thanks for asking :)

Erika Leigh Agnew Hi Bobbi Jo :D
Things are going well! I am on chapter 7 and getting a lot of editing help as I go so that will hopefully shorten the time until I can publish. I am aiming for end of May.
Just a heads up, this is a prequel so the boys won't be in this one but there will be characters you know :)
Nice to hear from you! Thanks for checking in.
Erika Leigh Agnew I was actually 7000 words into the sequel to Dragonsown when I felt the strongest urge that I wanted to write about a unicorn army so I went that way instead.
Erika Leigh Agnew Insight Timer! They have guided inspirational meditations as well as meditative music that I love and listen to often. My favorites are: Schumann Resonance 7.83 Hz/ Stress Relief Music with Bird Sounds/ Savasana Crickets. The only issue is they could possibly put you to sleep instead :D
Erika Leigh Agnew A prequel to Dragonsown called The Besieged Unicorn Army of Ryk, obviously its about a unicorn army that comes under attack. The main character is a black unicorn named Ember. He's First Captain of the army and I think he's pretty bad a$$. He's exciting to write about but readers won't really like him initially. The setting is a 500 years before Dragonsown.
Erika Leigh Agnew For me, I don't think its writer's block its more writer's avoidance. I am never stuck for ideas but the sitting down and committing to writing is challenging for me. There's always a newsletter to read or webinar to watch and next thing I know I am wondering where the day went. A friend recommended strategic time blocking so I've set up a schedule to try to stick to. In the end, its just a question of how committed a person is.
