In Solitude's Shadow took a year, though I had the idea for a little longer. I started writing it in June 2020 and came out June 2021, it went through a number of development drafts but the story always remained the same.
The Holleran series was a little shorter - Dead Man Walking (original) was only a few months; but when that and its sequel moved publisher, we spent from February to June looking over and developing them :)
