Mediation, good food and music gets me in the mood to write! Anything that creates a good vibe for me, really. I like to be a in positive or concentrated mindset before writing, so mediation is what I use the most.

Currently I am working on promoting my debut poetry book. This book was recently released so I am connecting with book reviewers, book clubs and media outlets to bring more awareness to Bearing Fruit. I would love to connect with people on Goodreads as well!

For me, the best thing about being a writer is hearing positive feedback. When someone tells me how much they connected to my book, it lets me know that I am doing what I am meant to do, and that I am good at it! We all get moments of insecurity, and of course this can come with releasing a book into the world. When my readers get exactly what I was trying to portray in my poems, my heart starts beating faster. Its an amazing feeling when people not only listen, but they hear me and understand. And with poetry, people can actually feel me!

It would be dope to travel to Hogwarts! I would love to fly on a broomsticks, cast crazy spells and feel like a child again. Stress-free and adventurous, without a care in the world.

I honestly can't say I got the idea for my recent poetry book Bearing Fruit anywhere. The idea came to me as my body was creating a baby. I wanted to express my feelings and poetry always came naturally to me. With a style similar to Rupi Kaur's, I felt in my heart that I needed to write my first book. I knew many people would relate to it, so I just decided to do it.

Write your heart out! Don't compare your style to others, your gift is your gift. Write when you are happy, write when you are depressed, write even when you don't feel like it. If you truly desire to be a writer, then it is important to start discipling yourself from now. So that when the time comes, you are already prepared.
