Bryan W. Conway I really appreciate that you are reading my book, I can't wait to hear what you think!

I live in the suburbs of Cleveland and have been RV camping in Sandusky for 6-7 years. We have season passes to Cedar Point and visit there continuously throughout the season (I have never worked there).

A few summers ago, our RV needed some repairs, so I stayed there overnight without my family for the first time. It caused me to look at the campground from a different perspective. What would it be like if I actually lived there by myself? What if there were some shady seasonal people mixed in with these nice people at the campground? There were so many people coming and going, that it would be easy to operate scams in that environment!

Also, I have always been fascinated with the way Cedar Point hires internationally. What if a bad person manipulated that process and brought in criminals from a foreign country as henchmen (and henchwomen 😊)?

So that was the basis of my inspiration for Sandusky Burning. I did change a few things around (using the actual name of the amusement park seemed to be an invitation for a lawsuit!), but the setting in the book pretty closely resembles the actual area.

PS - When I saw that you were an author, I took a look at your books; your Rollin RV Mysteries series looks very interesting and I’m going to buy a copy of the first book and read it soon! Us Ohio authors have to stick together 😉!
Bryan W. Conway The biggest mystery in my life: who is stealing all of my time? How does an entire weekend only last 15 minutes? How do months and years pass in the blink of an eye? There is a time thief at large who is robbing me blind...
Bryan W. Conway Continue to prioritize reading!

"If you love to read, or learn to love reading, you will have an amazing life. Period. Life will always have hardships, pressure, and incredibly annoying people, but books will make it all worthwhile. In books, you will find your North Star, and you will find you, which is why you are here. "

Bryan W. Conway My issue is always a lack of time, never a lack of inspiration!
Bryan W. Conway It isn't summer yet, but I have the following queued up!

Serpentine by Jonathan Kellerman: I love the Alex Delaware series, so entertaining!

The Long Walk by Stephen King: this is a reread, my favorite King short story.

The Hustler by Walter Tevis: the author wrote this and the Color of Money, two great movies, as well as the Queen's Gambit, which I recently read.
Bryan W. Conway Outlining my sequel to "Sandusky Burning"!
Bryan W. Conway Hi Ben - thanks for contacting me! I currently don't have enough time to review your book, but I will definitely keep it in mind when my schedule is a little less hectic.
Bryan W. Conway I was inspired to write Sandusky Burning while camping alone in my RV in that area several years ago. Our air conditioner needed to be repaired, so I drove the sixty miles from the suburbs of Cleveland and worked from the camper while awaiting the repairmen.

I had rarely spent a moment alone there, and I looked at my surroundings from a different perspective. The transient, wide-open nature of campgrounds could provide a fertile environment for shady activities. I envisioned an underworld that preyed on resort town tourism, and let my imagination run wild from there!
