Kevin A. Reynolds There aren't many Bards among us, so don't worry too much when you go back and read a passage and realize it's complete rubbish. Most of what you write will be like that, although you'll improve with experience.

The key is re-writing, re-writing, re-writing, which essentially can overcome that "1st draft disaster blues." Things have a habit of reading differently when you wake up the next morning - so keep going, rest if you must, but don't quit.

And, take it one page at time - you can't do everything in a day, and you don't need to, either.

Kevin A. Reynolds Lost in Math: How Beauty Leads Physics Astray - by Sabine Hossenfelder
Kevin A. Reynolds The Girl Who Fell Through Time started as a screenplay and then became a novel. The idea originally came from, well, I could say the aether itself - which is a sub-theme in the novel - combined with my 30 years in Japan plus an interest in science and the universe. By the way, there are several themes, some more obvious than others, some less so, in both my books.
