Wes Verde Keep a notebook close at hand or some other means of quickly jotting down random ideas as they come to you.
Wes Verde When tucking my son in for the night, he asked me to check for monsters. I looked under the bed and found him staring back at me and he said, "There's someone on my bed."
Wes Verde "And I'm sure," said Wes, as he helped himself to another cup of coffee from the steaming carafe. "That in time, the whereabouts of who took the last brownie will be a mystery... even to me."
Wes Verde I'm a recent fan of a photo book series that features old pictures of different American towns. There are hundreds of these collections from different towns all across the country. They're incredibly fascinating to me.

At one point, I found this picture of a young woman taken sometime during the 1920's. The setting was clearly rural town. She was holding a cat, and standing in front of a car next to a barn. At a time when trains, canals, and walking were still the primary mode of transportation, it just made me think of what a game-changer the car must have been. To say nothing of broadcast radio.

Also... I realized that taking pictures of one's cats is apparently not just a recent phenomenon.
