I was awoken from a dead sleep in a cold sweat, the time on my feeble blinking alarm clock displayed 05:30 A.M. in a fluorescent red glare- I rolled over in dismay in attempt to avoid what imminent truth was about to be revealed. Today was Monday morning, I'm now officially late for work.

The honest answer is that I don’t deal with writer’s block at all. I only write when I want to - when I feel my creativity brimming.

The best thing about being a writer is orchestrating stories that have the capacity to have a positive impact on people’s lives- even if it’s just one person. That’s why I write, there is no higher honor than being able to be of service to someone else who is in need.

Write, write, and then write some more! Practice doesn’t make perfect, but perfect practice makes perfection! Always write at your highest ability about the subjects and things that you are passionate about- most importantly though, just be authentic. Never try to be something you’re not or write about something you don’t know about.

Currently I’m working on a novel about an honest character who struggles with the ramifications and implications of making an immoral decision for an ultimately moral cause. That’s all that I can giveaway at this point 😉!

People and emotions inspire me to write. There are so many unbelievable people in the world with extraordinary stories that need to be heard! A lot of the events in my books actually happened- that’s what allows me to really pour the emotions onto the page. When I write, I want my readers to really feel the words- to truly understand the emotions of the character. Writing allows me to share innately human characteristics and stories with each other so that we all can have a better understanding of ourselves and others.

The idea for this book took approximately two years to fully develop; I knew that I had a vast amount of experiences that made for interesting stories I just wasn’t sure how to pull them all together into one. The moment I knew exactly how I could compile my stories into one integrated book that was powerful and of meaning was when I was in line for a bar in downtown Denver. A homeless man was asking people for money- everyone was completely ignoring his existence; it was extremely sad. When he asked me, I gave him all the money in my wallet. He was as surprised as he was grateful- the rest of what transpired is written in the book. That’s how I got the title of the book and instantly, in that moment, I knew exactly how I would write it.
