Alessandro Reale Taking time off. You don't have to drill away day after day, hour after hour, with no breaks. It's okay to take a day off every once in a while. Hell, take an entire week off if you need it. Once you step away from your work and give yourself time to refuel, you can come back with a fresh perspective.

But make sure you don't take TOO much time off. As I always say, writing is like a muscle. The more time you take off, the weaker it becomes. I'd say a week-long break should be the maximum. After that, it's time to get back to writing. If you're still experiencing writer's block, try working on something else. Write a blog post, tackle another part of the story, do some editing. Just make sure you're doing something related to writing to keep those creative juices flowing.
