Macy Blush I find that when I’m having trouble writing, I can push past it by leaving the city to have a new experience. The struggle of staying alive and well when adventuring is enough to push back the despair and desperation that comes with writer’s block to the back of the brain. When I return, I can look at the piece from a new perspective and start from there, effectively crumbling that block to nothing. If I don’t have the time or means to go adventuring, I’ll typically just jump Phil, my husband, and hope the dopamine from our lovemaking does the trick.
Macy Blush "The sorcerer crumpled under my sword, but the last syllable fell from his lips. From the ground, his ragged corpse drew in the shadows, a grin plastered to his undead face."

Incidentally, this is based on a true story. Fortunately, the lich in question had a much more agreeable personality in death than in life—when all it takes is threatening to drop a clay pot to convince them to obey you, most matters can be resolved rather quickly.
Macy Blush I suppose you think I’m going to say something along the lines of “Earth,” that strange magicless world that so many fantasy romance authors base their works in, but no; I personally would rather visit the world of Ravnica. It’s similarities to Faerûn make me feel as though I could adventure there with a degree of knowledge, but is still mysterious enough that I could be constantly amazed at new wonders, sights, and people.
Macy Blush While my shelves are loaded with tomes and scrolls that I’ve purchased to read (and, I dare say, I hope to someday finish before leaving this world for the next… but I have my doubts considering it’s always accumulating more) two that I’m sure to get around to reading during the warmer months are Tusk Love and the Lusty Argonian Maid. I’ve heard so many raving reviews of them that I admit I’ve been intimated to start. There’s nothing worse as an author to read a masterpiece that pales your own work in comparison!
