I know this is not typical and I do not expect it to continue in this way, but I did not set out to write a book. I felt compelled to do so. There was a message to help parents that needed to be shared, I just can't take credit for it. I couldn't get the words out fast enough as they were downloaded into my thoughts. The long haul through editing and publishing has been excruciatingly slow after the speed typing I experienced once I got over a slow start. My hinderances have been my own lack of confidence and forgetting to pray before I write. I always...ALWAYS...would have to start over if I forgot. There was a learning curve which I am still working on. Any flaws in the book are based on my own inability to follow direction.

Spiritual Resilience is written for parents on behalf of their teenagers. What about the younger set who also need heroes to teach them the ropes? I am working on an illustrated children's book for kids to learn the same principles from Nephi, especially those boys who need more spiritual examples to relate to.

The insight I offer in the book was inspired by the words and experiences of Nephi. He is one of the most valiant prophets in all scripture, as well as one of the only prophets that we get so much insight on how he prepared as a teenager. Our youth are destined to be the most valiant of our day, so I went looking for what Nephi could teach the them and their parents facing a future just as unpredictable, but divinely-supported as Nephi's.
