How do you get inspired to write?

Sharla Goettl The insight I offer in the book was inspired by the words and experiences of Nephi. He is one of the most valiant prophets in all scripture, as well as one of the only prophets that we get so much insight on how he prepared as a teenager. Our youth are destined to be the most valiant of our day, so I went looking for what Nephi could teach the them and their parents facing a future just as unpredictable, but divinely-supported as Nephi's.
