I have written two books which I would describe as suitable for children rather than children's books as many adults have enjoyed 'Shimmer' & 'Midas'. However the book I am currently working on is definitely adults only. It's called 'Lucas' and it is about someone who has a destructive addiction.

Getting bored. It's a difficult thing in this day and age with so much to distract you, especially on the internet. Most of the writing I have done is when I have been travelling: so bored in airports; on aeroplanes &; hotel rooms. During the COVID-19 pandemic I have learnt to get bored at home although it is difficult to stay in my fantasy worlds when your kids are constantly asking for food & drinks!

Our first cat died, White Nose (sister of Brown Nose). Yep I was responsible for those names being called out at the vets! This prompted me to write a poem which is in the book. Anyway the poem wasn't the only piece of creative writing triggered by my grief. If 'Shimmer' became a film I would have wanted 'White Nose' to play 'Shimmer'. To achieve this I would need a film deal and a time machine. Building a time machine feels more achievable than a film deal somehow. RIP White Nose.
