I guess the events surrounding having a stroke three and a half years ago. Not that it would be a good plot mind you, because it is still a mystery to all parties involved, including me.

I have two. First one would be Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, because that is absolutely my favorite book. The second would be the world of Caraval. Honestly, in all my reading I have never been sucked into a world so thoroughly and with such vivid clarity like I was with her trilogy.

I have like 50 books I'm trying to get through because there are so many more coming out in the next year! The pile never ends!

I don't force it or get frustrated anymore. I leave it and come back to it when the inspiration comes. I think as writers we become so fixated on the end that we lose sight of what is standing in front of us. We want to finish and have it in our hands, but sometimes it's like trying to catch the wind. Just letting it come natural.

Write! It's not about anyone else, it's about what you feel in your heart to write about. I never wrote my book with the thoughts of "will everyone like this?". I wrote it because I found my world and characters inspiring and interesting.

I am currently working on Past Sins, the 2nd book in the Essence trilogy. Hopefully I'll be finished by this Halloween!

I always have a notebook of some sort with me, and where ever I am, if I get inspired by something I write it down right away. Could come from the color of a shirt in a store, or a person that I thought looked interesting, or from a song.

Honestly it was in 10th grade in math class, I read Twilight and thought it was kind of boring at the time. I wanted something that had characters that you could see interacting with in real life, even if it was fantasy.
