Jessica Mudditt I don't know who my grandfather is. My father was adopted, and he was born during the Second World War. At the time, my grandmother worked at the ministry of supply, which I believe made weapons. She may have had a romance with a sailor who docked into Liverpool - who knows. I'm not sure if I'll ever know.
Jessica Mudditt The time passes so quickly when I'm working, because I love it.
Jessica Mudditt Just keep at it. As Jimmy Cliff says, 'You can get it if you really want it.'
Jessica Mudditt I'm writing a memoir about the year I spent travelling through Asia. It was 2006 and I was 26. I had 14 kilos in my backpack and a daily budget of $16. I went to Tibet and Pakistan, and spent six months in India and two months in China. It was one of the happiest years of my life, although I was frequently lost - both literally and figuratively.
Jessica Mudditt I don't allow myself to get it! Being a journalist means I am forced to write to meet deadlines, so I just have to get on with it, even when my confidence is low or it feels uncomfortable. Once I get going, I am usually fine (and happy).
