Jessica Mudditt is the author of two travel memoirs, Our Home in Myanmar and Once Around the Sun.

She is also the founder of hybrid publisher Hembury Books. Established in 2023, Hembury Books strives to delight authors of all genres.

She is a former journalist and her bylines appeared in The Economist, BBC, CNN, GQ, The Telegraph and Marie Claire.

She spent seven years reporting from Bangladesh and Myanmar, before returning to Australia in 2016.

My decade-long love affair with Sydney by Jessica Mudditt

It was exactly a decade ago that I arrived bright-eyed and bushy-tailed in Sydney. My then-husband and I had come by train from Melbourne, and after pulling into Central Station around 10pm, we rolled our suitcases the length of the grand old platform before jumping in an Uber to our AirBNB.
