K.H. McMurray Structurally, I wasn't sure at first. By summer 2022, I had to wonder what was this monstrosity I'd created. It seemed all a jumble. Then I realised that the jumble was the format, but it was just a question of organising it in a way that made sense to me. If I can't make sense of my own work, then neither will the reader.
K.H. McMurray Generally, the smell of coffee.
K.H. McMurray A mystery would be decisions I've made here and there about any subject which turned out to be bad decisions but to this day I have yet to learn why.
K.H. McMurray I do other things and simply don't stress about it. Unless a deadline is involved, there's no rush to get everything out all at once.
K.H. McMurray Write what you like to read. It makes the editing/rewriting process easier to handle. Otherwise, take notes for any idea which comes to mind, as these may be useful later on, be it for what you're writing now or what you will write later on.
K.H. McMurray I've always felt that there were stories in me just itching to get out. Life, in general, tends to inspire me to put those stories on paper.
K.H. McMurray A collection of short stories and flash fiction with Montreal's pedestrianised streets as a backdrop, hopefully to be released online by the end of 2024.
K.H. McMurray The inspiration for my latest novel, "Photos and Designs", came from people in my generation getting older and their kids growing up. My generation (X) seems to be headed in two different directions: one which listens to their grown-up children concerning the environment and social justice, and the other which is turning into a collective of Abraham Simpsons (viz. "Old man yells at cloud"). More than generation gaps, I was also affected by the loss of certain friends and family members.
K.H. McMurray Currently, everything on my "to read" list.
