What were you thinking while writing your most recent novel, "Photos and Designs"?

Structurally, I wasn't sure at first. By summer 2022, I had to wonder what was this monstrosity I'd created. It seemed all a jumble. Then I realised that the jumble was the format, but it was just a question of organising it in a way that made sense to me. If I can't make sense of my own work, then neither will the reader.
