Hi Roger! I'm so happy you enjoyed my book. For me, that's what writing is all about--creating a story and characters thriller readers will enjoy and want to follow. I am planning on this being a series, and actually have the next two books written, but I'm still working on the editing, which is such an important part of the process. It wasn't so much an idea for a book as it was an idea for a villain. One of the best, if not the best, villain I've ever encountered was Dr. Mark Ahriman in Dean Koontz's False Memory. This character is despicable and chilling, which elevated the intensity of the suspense in that book. Dr. Ahriman seems an impossible adversary to defeat. Of course, it's Dean Koontz, so all the characters in the book were so well crafted and memorable, with a great story. So I began constructing Nika Rolinska, and the story formed from her.
