Oh wow... it's been bubbling around inside of me for a lifetime. I just wanted to get it out there now because I'm tired of the post-apocalyptic and dystopian near future worlds that seem to dominate in YA and sci fi. I think my children and the younger generations reject that completely and choose to be more evolved and conscious. "Be the change you want to be." They get it, and they are smarter than us older folks!

Let that 1st draft go... just keep writing and churn out content, knowing that most of it will be crap. Don't obsess and fiddle with it--you will never make progress and kill all the joy. Wait until the 2nd and third draft to craft and edit after some time has passed. It truly is a pleasure and a much different process that you can enjoy more.

Meditation and whiskey! But seriously, writer's block happens to me only when I obsess over something in an early draft. Let it go... keep writing, knowing that much of draft #1 will be crap. The true pleasure of crafting comes in the 1st and 2nd edit, after some time nd distance from the first.
