I'm working on the third installment of the Fearless Lovers series, "Longing for You". The heroine is an oil tycoon who's trying to bring sustainability into the energy industry, with some resistance. Her explosive affair with a Montana mercenary leads her to places beyond her imagination - literally, and inside her heart. But, she has to keep her love a secret at any cost!

A lot of the time, places inspire me to write. Travelling is in my blood, and some places just give you instant, positive connection. That's when I will start observing the people and their interactions closely, imagining what life is like for them. Then, when opportunities arise, I'll talk to those who are willing to share their stories with me. I use them as inspiration, not really as a source to actually write my stories. I like to see them as prompts to ask myself "what if..." Let's face it, I write romantic suspense with plots that aren't really everyday experience.

One - not even the sky is the limit! Really, you can create anything. As a romance author, my characters are everything. So, the extra perk is that you're allowed to be in love with more than one man at once.
Two - it's my readers. They keep me honest, they keep me motivated, and they keep me inspired.

There's nothing that a shower can't solve. So, I put everything down when my head starts to hurt, and have a shower. There's something about the sound of water that makes that 'block' at least crumble, if not disappear. If the block needs a wrecking ball, I usually take a long walk.

"Burning for You" is all about two worlds colliding. The hero, Levi Holt is a New York builder, but his heart is rooted in his Montana home. Meanwhile, the heroine, Carolyn Meyer, is a formidable businesswoman who was born and bred in the Big Apple. In my travels, I had a chance to explore the concrete jungle of New York, and then snowshoed in the Yellowstone backcountry; and the contrasting feelings just urged me to write a story featuring these places. I finally had a chance in "Burning for You" -- and the remaining books in the Fearless Lovers Series.

It's got to be Matthew Reilly's world in "Contest", where the New York State Library turns into a venue for an out-of-this-world contest. I would be a willing sidekick to Dr Stephen Swain (the hero) and fight fantastic creatures alongside him. This isn't romance, but I must say I had a huge crush on Dr Swain for years!
