From the first book I wrote, it is part of a series, and due to the girls age in the first book it was natural that they head off to preschool in my Sally and Kate series. It is not out yet. But one I am in the process of still.

Generally, I will make a list of ideas and try to see how they might fit. Other than that, I will write a draft of what I can think of, then leave it alone for a few days, then go back to it with a fresh look at it, a do a new read-through.

I have many favorite authors that I like to read . Danielle Steel, and Brandon Sanderson, just to name a few. But I usually just go to the library with my kids in summer and choose a good book or two at that point. Unless there has been a new release that I have been waiting for come out. Then I reserve a copy in advance. I buy books that I know the local library probably has not ordered yet as they come out.
