J R Cason I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the first book in the Valengetrix series and I truly appreciate your review of it. I'll say that when I originally started out, I intended to keep each chapter/episode loosely related to one another as I was able to tell a different story each time. With the second book in the series we find Val caught up in something much more than just his quest for vengeance, and in return, the chapters are bit more linear yet still unique in their own regard.

Book two expands more upon the events going on in the broader world, with some really weird twists and more than its share of intense battles. The "Sword & Sorcery" aspect is much more noticeable in this entry in my honest opinion. Also, you see Valengetrix grow and mature in many ways, and his character develop along his journeys which makes for some interesting dynamics that will impact future novels.

The third entry in the series is currently a work in progress but it promises to answer many of the questions from the previous two books, so stay tuned! Without giving out any spoilers, suffice to say it's going to be a wild and savage experience!
