For some time, I haven't really read a lot of fiction, as I was writing and directing television. I found myself reading a lot of biographies and non-fiction, but once the pandemic closed us all in, I picked up THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER, and WHERE EAGLES DARE, and -- yes -- JAWS, and remembered why I loved books.

Wasn't so much a mystery as it was the event that triggered what I thought was a pretty original plot for an espionage story, albeit, it had a more personal drama carrying you through it. I was adopted, met my birthmother, and lost my dad all in the same year. So, I wrote my debut novel, THE NEED TO KNOW.
