Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Charlie Robinson It is a sequel to my debut novel. 90% of my ideas come from experience of life. Although they are exaggerated, I never plan a book. I start with a sentence and then follow a long sequence of 'What Ifs'

How do you get inspired to write?
Charlie Robinson Reading, I was encouraged to read as a child. Birthday and Christmas presents were always books. But, it was like an urge and it took many years to find my 'voice'.

What are you currently working on?
Charlie Robinson I am currently writing the third book in what has now gone from a one off novel to a series.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Charlie Robinson Don't overthink it. Just write and don't write what you think people want to read. It's your journey not theirs.

Charlie Robinson Creating characters, giving them a purpose and a passion, and of course obstacles.

Charlie Robinson I go for a run, that usaully gives me time to reflect and process.
