Richard Hester When the pandemic began, I could see, right from the very first day, that everybody was panicking. My FaceBook feed was filled with posts that simply didn't make any sense. The impulse that started me writing was a desire to try and put what was going on into some sort of logical perspective. I did it as much for myself as for everyone else. Richard Hester Just start writing. That's probably too pat an answer, but when I was writing Hold, Please, I would wake up in the morning sometimes without any idea whatsoever about what I was going to say. I would go so far as to say that the ones I was most worried about often turned out to be the most popular.
